January 31, Tuesday - Required Practice night for all JSHS PowerPoint presenters
7:00 pm in numerous YHS classrooms. Parents/Alumni/Community members/Teachers wanted as practice judges

Feb. 2 Thursday – Submission Deadline for the Westchester Science & Engineering Fair (WESEF),
(research paper + all additional forms)
Forms and papers will be mailed on this day.
Feb. 4 Saturday - JSHS competition at John Jay HS – Cross River, NY
8am - 3pm – John Jay High School, Cross River NY.
Parents welcome for the awards ceremony in the afternoon.
March 1 Thursday - Practice night for all WESEF participants

March 9 Friday - Poster board drop off for all WESEF participants
Boards MUST be dropped off and set up, between 3 – 8 pm in the cafeteria of the
Sleepy Hollow High School, Route 9 Tarrytown
One person can bring a few boards and set them up for their
friends but must be sure that the setup is approved.
March 10 Saturday - Westchester Science & Engineering Fair WESEF (www.wesef.org)
Students cannot take the SAT on this day as it directly conflicts with WESEF
Sleepy Hollow High School, Route 9 Tarrytown NY.
9am – 4:30 pm AND 7pm-9pm for all students that are presenting their research
Public session 3pm-4:30 pm Free time for dinner 5pm - 7pm
Awards ceremony 7pm-9pm
NOTE: This is one of many SAT test days.
Students are not able to participate in both and therefore must sign up
for a different SAT test day.
April 21 Saturday - Tri-County Science Fair

White Plains High School 9am - 7pm for all students that are presenting their research
Poster board in the morning - Top 3 move on to the state level
Participation in this fair is completely voluntary
May (tba) - End of season - Celebration Picnic
Hosted by the Science Research Foundation for YHS Students
Students, Parents, Mentors, Siblings welcome

Required for all students currently in the program as well as all incoming students
June 4 Saturday - Westlake HS Invitational Comp. for Sophomores
(formerly known as the White Plains Invitational)
1pm-5pm - Westlake High School Cafeteria – Thornwood, NY
Required for Sophomores and Seniors
All current sophomores must present their research via poster. All current Seniors must be a judge
*** While this is an SAT day, the fair will be in the afternoon so that ALL Sophomores can attend.
